On behalf of the Women’s Council for Domestic & Family Violence Services (WCDFVS), Perth, Australia, in collaboration with the Center for Response-Based Practice on Vancouver Island, Canada, will be the keynote speaker at the International 3-day conference, Dignity 2017 on 22-24 May in Perth, Australia. The aim of the conference is bringing ‘dignity’ back into the lives of women and children who have survived family and domestic violence.

Participated in a two-day planning meeting with Men Engage Europe (MEE) and the European Network for Work with Perpetrators (WWP) – to build up a European network and campaign against male violence. Amsterdam, the Netherlands April 2016.
Participated as the Keynote Speaker at the International 3-Day Conference, Dignity 2016, invited by the Center for Response-Based Practice on Vancouver Island, Canada, with the aim of exploring human service work, anti-violence and decolonising practices, and the importance of language from a response-based perspective.
Planned and conducted a 3-day workshop in Cape Town, South Africa 2016 with the aim of transferring the underlying idea of the 5 Days of Gender-transformative Violence Prevention event to Men Engage Global and Men Engage Africa in order to create the preconditions for the event to develop and continue on different continents as a strategic tool for developing gender-transformative violence prevention at global level.
As tasked by the Åland Provincial Government in 2016, documented the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Conference on Health, Care and Equal Opportunities, held in Mariehamn on Åland on 14-15 June.
On behalf of the Swedish Government Offices, 2015, contributed a textual basis for the Commission to propose a national strategy on men’s violence against women (SOU 2015; 55), focusing on the background and current state of national and international gender-transformative violence prevention.

Planned and conducted a one-week study visit to the Promundo organization in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2015, for staff of Men for Gender Equality, with a view to studying the organization’s background, structure and practice focusing on their different forms of gender-transformative violence prevention interventions.
On behalf of the NGO Men for Gender Equality in 2014, participated as a consultant in a project funded by Sida entitled New Men in Belarus focusing on gender equality and building a sustainable system for involving men as fathers and developing gender equality activities in order to change current gender norms. As instructed by the Danish National Board of Institutions, 2009 – 2012 together with Lena Berg and Magnus Sjögren, developed and conducted a pilot training input on working with girls, boys, women and men from a gender perspective. Also during process-driven implementation and the work process, developing a document stating guidelines on how staff at SiS could work as discussion leaders for groups of girls, boys, women and men with an integrated gender perspective.

On behalf of the Swedish government, participated in a delegation invited by the Regional Observatory on Violence Against Women (ORVF) in Paris, France within the Swedish programme; Innovative measures in the struggle against prostitution and intra family violence, 2014.
Planned and conducted in close collaboration with the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society and Unizon, a one week study visit to Sioux City, IOWA, USA, 2014. Invited representatives of several authorities, municipal representatives and voluntary organizations. The purpose was to visit Alan Heisterkamp, Waitt Institute and their partners to gain in-depth knowledge of the socio-ecological model of Sioux City Project violence prevention work that has been so successful.
Planned and conducted an International event, 5 Days of Gender-transformative Violence Prevention, in Stockholm in May 2014. Experts from all over the world were invited to initiate a dialogue on how gender-transformative violence prevention work can develop on a global level. The event consisted of different knowledge-development activities aimed at different target groups.
Participated in a two-day MVP Leadership Summit in Edinburgh, Scotland, 2013, invited by Graham Goulden, the Violence Reduction Unit, Edinburgh. An event where adults and young mentors meet to gain knowledge and exchange experience focusing on the work of the English school system with its gender-transformative violence prevention programme Mentors in Violence Prevention.
Planned and conducted a one-week study visit to Boston, USA, 2012, for the staff in the Freedom from Violence Project, specifically to attend the first conference on the gender-transformative violence prevention program Mentors in Violence Prevention, as well as studying the MVP Program in more detail and also meeting representatives of New Hampshire University regarding their program entitled Bringing in the Bystander.
Participated as a practitioner in the research project; Hegemonic Masculinities and Men in Sweden and South Africa: Theorising Power and Change 2011-2012. A collaborative project between Linköping University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. “The specific aim was to enhance understanding of a key concept in the gendered research of men, namely hegemonic masculinity, and to deepen our understanding of how to approach work to change men in order to build gender equity, reduce gender-based violence and improve men’s health.”
Planned and conducted a one-week study visit to Boston, USA, 2011, for the staff in the Freedom from Violence Project, with a view to studying different types of violence prevention interventions in various forms of organizations e.g. government, universities and NGOs.

Under the auspices of the Åland Provincial Government, 2010, trained childcare staff in gender equality.
As tasked by the Åland Peace Institute in the framework of the Overcoming Gender Disparities Project, in 2010 together with Magnus Sjögren, lectured on gender equality at the Parliament in Vilnius, Lithuania, and held a two-day training course in leading groups of girls, boys, women and men with an integrated gender perspective for Marta; a Resource Center for Women in Riga, Latvia.
On behalf of the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society, in 2009 and 2010, together with Lena Berg and Magnus Sjögren, took a national level inventory of gender-transformative violence prevention work aimed at young men based on gender and norm critical perspectives, published in the report Prata bort mansvåld in 2010.

On behalf of the Swedish Defence University, 2007-2010, worked as a Certified Tutor for gender equality education at National Level.
On behalf of the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society, in 2009, participated as a lecturer in a 9-day national pilot course at university level entitled How can we prevent violence against young women?
As instructed by the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten County, 2009, conducted a study on the prerequisites for starting a Cooperative Centre against Violence in Norrbotten County.
As tasked by the NGO Men for Gender Equality, 2008-2009, together with Lena Berg and Magnus Sjögren, developed training material for a pilot training course aimed at volunteers working in the Killforum Project online (www.killfragor.se). Planned and implemented two programmes for volunteers including training for educators.
On behalf of SIPU International, 2007 – 2009, participated as an expert in a programme funded by Sida in Russia focusing on preventing men’s violence against women and children; Gender Equality and Masculinity, worked specifically in the Involved Men, Decreased Domestic Violence Project, responsible for the component Men and Youth Support and encouraging change in social roles. Between autumn 2010 and end of 2016 worked at the NGO Men for Gender Equality on two major projects.
Worked full time between Jan 2015 and Aug 2016, and half-time between Sept 2016 and Dec 2016 with strategic development and training within a 3-year project entitled A municipality free of violence. Its purpose was to develop a model for systematic gender-transformative violence prevention work in municipalities. Primarily the work consisted of cooperating with pilot and reference municipalities to support development towards more structured and systematic activities on gender-transformative violence prevention in a broad collaboration based on the preconditions of the local context. In addition, the work continued at strategic level with its focus on creating opportunities for cooperation with key actors nationally and internationally in order to develop gender-transformative violence prevention work.
Between Sept 2010 and Dec 2012 worked full time as project manager and between Jan 2013 and Dec 2014 full time with strategic development and training (mainly) in the Freedom from Violence Project with the aim of developing preventive methods to promote equal and non-violent practitioners. Primarily activities consisted of knowledge-based national/international research on existing gender-transformative violence prevention methods with integrated gender perspective. Also imported, translated, tested and evaluated the Mentors in Violence Prevention method at secondary and upper-secondary school focusing at strategic level on creating preconditions for collaboration with key actors nationally and internationally in order to develop gender-transformative violence prevention activities.
Autumn 2009 and spring 2010 – worked with various training assignments but primarily with responsibility for an advanced university course on men’s violence against women which was implemented for the first time in Sweden.
2007- 2009 Worked as development manager at the Centre against Violence in Umeå, where my primary responsibility was to implement structured cooperation in practice between relevant authorities and organizations, as well as working on competence development and other external contacts. Was, in parallel, responsible for developing a Care Programme for Women and Children Victims of Violence in Västerbotten County Council and in 2007 – 2009 together with Lena Sjöquist Andersson, trained all healthcare centres and clinics in Västerbotten County on how to receive and treat vulnerable women and children.
2005 – 2007 worked as a researcher and conducted a study on the prerequisites for starting up extended, systematic cooperation concerning men’s violence against women in Västerbotten County, and then continued as project manager to develop enhanced and more systematic cooperation between the relevant authorities and organizations regarding this field. Strategic development work carried out in close collaboration with Lena Sjöquist Andersson resulted in a unique collaboration initiative, the Centre against Violence in Umeå, which offered vulnerable women and children different combinations of support types, as well as an activity that provided support and treatment for violent men.
Participated in 2004 as expert and later in the autumn as Secretary to the Government Commission entitled Utredningen om kvinnofridsuppdragen and the report Slag i luften (N2004: 121).
Began in 2000 working on gender issues, focusing on men’s violence against women and children, and was employed by the County Administrative Board of Västerbotten County until spring 2004. Primary tasks were to develop synergies between authorities and organizations, training issues and to focus on how to reach and work together with young men from a gender perspective. Together with Magnus Sjögren of the Sensus study organisation and Christian Fridh of the Red Cross Youth League, planned and implemented a course entitled NORMal or what? which resulted in a management training input and a book on the process entitled NORMal, eller? Vägledning, ledarmaterial för att sätta killar i rörelse (2004).
